Greetings,

Last week I had an eyebrow transplant patient who flew in from Dallas for her procedure. She had lost her eyebrows after a laser treatment gone awry that removed most of her existing eyebrow hair. Her story was featured on the local news and you can watch it from the link below. In the video she is approximately one week post procedure but you can already see the dramatic change.

All the best,

Marc Dauer, M.D.

Greetings,

Here is a eyebrow transplant video showing every step in the process of an eyebrow transplant procedure. My patient in the video is Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon Dr. Cat Begovic. Dr. Begovic is a world renown surgeon and she was very meticulous in her research before deciding to have me perform her eyebrow transplant procedure. In the video she describes the entire experience in her own words. I hope you  enjoy watching.

Marc Dauer, M.D.

Greetings,

I just returned a few weeks ago from the annual meeting of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery in Las Vegas. As usual it was a great opportunity to re-connect with friends and colleagues and hear about all the latest innovations in the field. As has become routine for me over the past number of years, I gave a lecture on Eyebrow Transplants and detailed my approach to the procedure. There is a great deal of interest in eyebrow transplants and it is very gratifying for me to be able to share my experience and expertise with others.

All the best,

Marc Dauer, M.D.

Greetings,

Here is a result of an eyebrow transplant in a female African American patient of mine. The results are shown after 1 year. I always let all patients know that the quality of their scalp hair will stay the same when I move it to the eyebrow. Despite the curly nature of this patient’s hair her results are very natural and she is thrilled. The right eyebrow grew in perfectly. The left eyebrow can use about 20 hairs to fill in a couple light spots. Eyebrow transplant patients can expect 90-95% growth of the transplanted follicles, however we never know which ones won’t regrow. In this case, we will be performing a small FUE procedure to extract the 20 hairs and will fill in the spots in the left eyebrow to make them both as close to perfect as possible.

All the best,

Marc Dauer, MD

Greetings,

This is an unusual case and the first time I have ever seen a patient with scarring from small pox. This patient contracted small pox as a child in a foreign county and subsequently had severe facial scarring secondary to the infection. As a result of the scarring he lost almost all of his eyebrow hair. He presented to me in his 40’s to re-create his eyebrows not only to improve his appearance, but as a first step in eradicating the constant reminder of his childhood infection everything he looks in the mirror.

I explained to the patient that I typically see reduced growth through areas of scarring, but that transplanted grafts still grow through scars, and I have had good results placing grafts into scars.

Since the patient likes to cut his hair short we opted to harvest the grafts via FUE. I used a 0.8mm motorized punch and extracted every follicle personally.

The results shown here are 6 months post procedure. The patient is absolutely thrilled with his results at present. I have told him that he will likely see increased cosmetic density over the next 6 months as more hairs start to grow.

Marc Dauer, MD

Greetings,

Here is an email  I recently received form a patient of mine who I performed an eyebrow transplant procedure on, and her husband received a scalp hair transplant from me.

Husband and wife patients are becoming more common in my practice and it’s always gratifying to hear their feedback.

All the best,

Marc Dauer, M.D.

Husband & wife grow hair together thanks to Dr. Dauer!

I’ve been encouraging my husband for 10 years to get hair transplants. After seeing Dr. Dauer’s results in hair transplant photos I knew he was the Doctor for my husband.

The procedure was exactly how Doc explained, he was completely professional and thorough, he said that his hair would start growing within 4 months following the hair procedure and with much anticipation it did! His results were so spectacular that I decided to go in and have my eyebrows done!

Yes, Doc Dauer does eye brow transplants, lots of them from what I understand, I was sick of spending thousands of dollars with professional brow specialists & brow pencils trying to help my brows grow. There is NOTHING on the market that helped me, I tried it all, revita lash/brow, lattice, to name a few, Doc said that due to over plucking when I was younger and weak eye brows in general, all played a part in loss of eye brow hair growth over the years. After the procedure I was swollen for a few days, so I just wore sunglasses, the swelling went down immediately and within 4 months, I have full, gorgeous, model eye brows, my brow hair grows so fast I can hardly keep up with trimming! I threw out my brow pencils, brow color and haven’t been back to an expensive “brow specialist” since. I have recommended Dr. Dauer to EVERYONE I know.

Greetings,

Here is a patient who came to me after having undergone 2 previous trip harvest procedures from another local physician. He decided he was done with the strip harvest procedure and wanted to have an FUE procedure. When I shaved the scalp to perform FUE his precious strip scars were clearly visible and also demonstrated how his previous physician had created “stacked scars” in certain locations instead of including the old strip scar in the new incision.

This is against the 10 commandments of hair transplant surgery.

In every instance of a patient having another strip harvest hair transplant procedure after having one prior, the previous scar should be removed.

If the previous scar is too wide or the scalp too tight FUE should be considered.

NEVER should a physician create a stacked scar, which in reality just creates  one huge scar.

This is a prime example of what not to do and is either laziness or ignorance on the part of the hair transplant surgeon who did this.

On this procedure the patient was primarily concerned with creating density in the frontal scalp, but after seeing these photos, the patient has decided in the future to have me place FUE grafts into these scars to help cover them.

Just another example of why it is imperative to do thorough research prior to choosing your hair transplant surgeon.

Greetings,

Here is a patient of mine who received just under 1800 grafts via FUE to the frontal scalp, mid scalp, and crown. Given the large amount of area to cover this was a fairly conservative number of grafts. Despite this, the results are clearly evident. I personally harvested each follicle using a 0.8mm punch tip.
The patient is thrilled.

Greetings,

Here is a recent piece on CBS News where I discuss my approach to eyebrow transplants and one of my patients discusses her experience undergoing the procedure.

I hope you enjoy watching.

Greetings,

Here is a patient of mine who happens to be a physician himself who was experiencing thinning in the frontal scalp. The patient is in his late 20’s so we were not going to consider lowering the hairline, but rather increasing the density in the frontal scalp. Also, because of the patient’s young age and the fact that he will likely lose significantly more hair in the future, the decision was made to use a judicious number of grafts so as to maintain donor grafts for the future when more hair loss occurs.

The patients results are shown after 1 year and he is thrilled!

All the best,

Marc Dauer, M.D.
