Hair Transplant Testimonials

“Even positive changes in life can be stressful. Starting a new job, getting married, going back to school, having children; all of these changes can leave our minds spinning. But I think in the back of our minds we know once that change has taken place, it’s just a matter of time before we’re grateful. A hair transplant procedure is something I would like to add to that list. It took me some time to actually go in and get the procedure done. Mostly because my hair started thinning in my late 20s, and I got stuck in the denial state a bit too long. Had it not been for Dr. Dauer I think I may even still be in that state. I meet with him three times before getting the procedure and every meeting he took his time and never once pushed.

I always knew Dr. Dauer was the man for the job. Heck, if he was running for president I would vote for him! If you’re reading this debating your options look no further. Contact his office and meet with him. Even if you decide to not get the procedure, you get a free consolation from the top in the field that doesn’t push the sale but only states the facts and lets you know your options. And if you do decide to get the procedure you’re in great hands. Either way it’s a win/win.”

“My NUMBER ONE CONCERN before doing this was how “real” will it look when it’s finished. I can honestly say it looks fantastic. I just completed my second round with Dr. Dauer and I couldn’t be happier. I was very nervous the first time but I soon realized there was no reason for it. Dr. Dauer and his staff are the best in the business. They treat you to beautiful surroundings (a great view and every channel or movie on the planet). They take extra care in making sure you’re always comfortable. The procedure was a breeze and my hair looks incredible. Dr. Dauer couldn’t be any more accommodating. My recovery time was minimal and the results are amazing. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and neither will you after experiencing Dr. Dauer and his team.”

“I’m 1y and 2m post surgery date. The results are wonderful. The new hair integrated so well with the rest that no one could tell anything was done, except for saying that I look great. I’ve had the best year yet as a professional actor. The price was the best around as well for the expert level of work. The recovery time from the procedure was minimal. Down the road if I need to do another procedure for maintenance, I’ll return to Dr. Dauer. He answered all of my questions pre-surgery, put my mind at ease and delivered fantastic results. I’m very happy I did this. Ps – the name on this review is made up for the sake of anonymity, but the words said here are authentic. All the best.”

“When it comes to hair transplants, unfortunately I’m becoming a bit of an expert. I had two done prior to meeting with Dr. Dauer over the span of 13 years. The others were done by the two biggies in the industry (NHI and Bosley). I didn’t hate the results but wasn’t thrilled with them either. After a ton of research I decided to go with Dr. Dauer and I’m ecstatic that I did. The care, cost, and convenience were dramatically better than my other two experiences. Even though it was my third procedure, I still had a ton of anxiety and trepidation but after our initial consultation much of that went away. I ended up getting 2500 grafts, which was much more than I had done previously at the other two places combined, yet the actual procedure was substantially easier than at NHI and Bosley. I felt almost no pain before or after and experienced zero swelling (which wasn’t the case last time). It’s been 10 days since the surgery and the small scabs are almost invisible. Obviously it’ll be a while before I can see the final results but I’m extremely optimistic because everything up to this point has been great. When it comes to any type of cosmetic surgery you need immense trust in your doctor and his/her abilities and I can honestly say that I would absolutely recommend Marc Dauer to anybody who reads this. ”

“I just got my eyebrow hair transplant yesterday with Dr. Dauer and it was a wonderful experience!! I was very scared and nervous at first but Dr. Dauer and his assistant Brenda make you feel at ease and super duper comfortable. Everyone is super nice and caring and I felt like I was a princess. The office is nice with no dentist/doctors office feel and the room where I had the procedure done has a very nice view!! (11th floor) After the donor area is taken out you are served a delicious lunch of your choice. I had the Alfredo Chicken Lasagna..and it was so good!! I can’t wait to eat there again for my follow up appointments. There is not much pain in my eyebrow area as of today but it is very swollen. And the donor site is kind of painful but I can deal… No doubt the best doctor for hair transplants. Already got a compliment from my mom’s friend and she wanted me to write down his info for her husband who is balding. I love love love MDNEWHAIR!! No hesitation in recommending to anyone interested in any type of hair transplant. If you need any info on how my procedure went, before and after pictures or anything in general about this…message me anytime! ”

“If you’re nervous about hair transplant surgery, let me tell you you’re not alone. I was one of the most nervous person about the whole procedure. I had my doubts and concerns about every possible ideas but, I have great news for you! If you are one of the person I just described, Dr. Dauer is the doctor for you. He help alleviate my worries during my consultation and he made me feel comfortable by answering any questions I had. Even after the consultation, he was there answering my many questions. Now, it’s only been a month so I haven’t seen the results yet, however I am so happy to have gone with Dr. Daur. And I’m writing this to reach out to those who are sure about getting the procedure but not sure which doctor to go with. If you’re looking for a doctor who knows what he’s doing, for someone who you can trust and put your future in their hands, and a genuine doctor, Dr. Dauer is for you. I recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr. Dauer and you will see what I am talking about. “I had done a lot of research and had met with quite a few other doctors before I ended up in Dr. Dauer’s. To be quite frank, Dr. Dauer was by far my most pleasant experience. He personally called me, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and worked around my schedule for the consultation. I’d immediately made my decision the moment I stepped out of his office and scheduled the next step. A few months later I was back in for the procedure. This was something I’d waited a few years to finally do so I was both nervous and excited.

The experience was extremely pleasant (give the circumstances) and virtually pain free (ish). They went out of their way to make me feel as comfortable as possible. It’s the best thing I ever did and I am extremely happy with the results. Not only would I recommend Dr Dauer and his office but I would also go the extra mile to say that I would only trust him when it comes to this procedure. Trust me, I’ve done all the research and have met with most everyone in the LA area who specializes in this and speak candidly when I say that I am absolutely positive that I made the right choice.”

“Dr. Dauer is fantastic. He performed my third procedure and I’m six months into the recovery process and very pleased with the results. I can’t wait to see how it looks like at the end of this year. My hair loss isn’t terrible, but I’ve been doing procedures as a preventive measure. If anyone is starting to lose their hair, I’d highly recommend gradually doing improvements, rather than waiting for things to get really bad. By doing them gradually, no one will know you even had a transplant.

I previously went to Dr. Sword, who was also great, but I feel Dr. Dauer is at the forefront of his field with the latest technology. He was able to get greater density than I got before. Density is important because no one wants a thinning look. The whole point of this process is to make it look like you have no problems with hair loss! He removed my previous donor scar with the transplant area so that I would continue to only have one scar on the back of my head. My hair naturally grows over it and nothing is noticeable.

The entire procedure was smooth. Besides a few pricks for the Novocaine, I didn’t feel that much discomfort. Removing the donor area made me a little squeamish, but it was just my imagination getting the best of me… I experienced no pain. Towards the end of the surgery, I started to get a dull headache (understandably), but that went away with some pain killers. I don’t think anyone enjoys surgery, but this
was definitely tolerable.

If I could wave a magic wand and change one thing about this operation, it would be for the results to appear quicker. The transplanted hair doesn’t really start to be noticeable until 5-6 months after the procedure (at least with me). Dr. Dauer was very upfront with this, but your mind gets the best of you in the 3-4 month stage where you are just tired of waiting. Even though this was my third procedure and I knew the drill, the waiting game can be annoying. Realizing that I was losing my hair was one of the most
depressing things I have ever experienced. I couldn’t believe it. It is just something you take for granted and then all of a sudden its going away and you feel like the world is going to end. The good news
is that there is a solution. It takes a while and might even require a few procedures for the perfect result, but this stuff does work. Picking Dr. Dauer is a safe and reliable bet. He will do a great job!”

“I am a 23-year-old man who lives in the US. Since I was little, I had very sparse eyebrows in the lateral third area of both. By my teenage years, it became significant. I also easily blush and have keratosis pilaris on my upper arms (pretty common).

I was diagnosed with ulerythema ophryogenes on Dec 15, 2011. I tried protopic, latisse, and retin A. from Dec 15- end of march. It didn’t work.

After doing a lot of research and asking several dermatologists/ hair restoration specialists, I decided to go ahead with eyebrow restoration. I did the surgery with Dr. Marc Dauer in Los Angeles. Make sure you google him. I can’t post his website because the forums doesn’t allow me to.

AMAZING DOCTOR. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. He is so nice. So smart. Told me everything he was going to do. Gave me a WONDERFUL price. VERY professional. The whole procedure took 6 hours. He wanted to take his time and do it right, which he did! Really, a great overall guy. I’m happy I chose him. Plus, I live in the area. But even if I didn’t live in the area, I would have traveled to get it done with him.

My doctor put in 200 grafts on each side of the lateral thirds of my eyebrows on April 2, 2012.

Today is March 8, 2013, almost a year since the procedure. My eyebrows look GREAT! I am sooooo happy I did the procedure.

I was always very insecure about not having my eyebrows. By summer time, the new hairs grew in. Gradually, every month it would become thicker and thicker. Today, it’s as if I never had scars or any problems with my eyebrows. In fact, I have too many eyebrows! This is not an issue though. I just use an eyebrow trimmer to finely shape them every day or two. I just can’t believe I have this as a problem as opposed to not having ANY.

One thing Dr. Dauer said was that these hairs should NEVER be plucked out. Instead, use a eyebrow trimmer to adjust them. I’ve been doing this ever since and it works great.

I am SOOO blessed to have been diagnosed and treated correctly.

The surgery went beautifully. The strip of hair the doctor took out from the back of my head has totally healed. I have no problems with that. There is supposed to be a scar but I don’t see one even with a number 3 buzz cut.

The surgery has literally changed my life. There was always something “off” with my face (not having half my eyebrows on each side- DUH). Once I resolved that, I became really confident. And also, I could tell it impacted my attractiveness dramatically.

A BIG THANKS to Anne for giving me great advice and resources throughout the journey. She is wonderful.

I will not post pictures but just realize that my eyebrows look completely normal. The hairs are a little more coarse (they are from my head so obviously they are different) and curly but with an eyebrow trimmer you can resolve that. I will post pictures in about two months when I see Dr. Dauer again for a regular check up.

I STRONGLY recommend you look at the the clinical case reports already present. These helped my dermatologist, Dr. Dauer and I to make the decision to go with the procedure.

Also, I recommend Vitamin E oil from CVS. I use it once a while to clear up some dryness.

I think the scarring done by my UO was done when I was a teenager. So that now that I’m 23, the inflammation does not cause scarring. I have very little inflammation if at all. I would say I have mild UO but the scarring was significant on both sides of my eyebrows.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! I know how much you want to resolve this issue. It can be done with eyebrow surgery. I don’t know if it works for everyone with UO but it worked for me! I hope these hairs don’t leave! Because they have made me really happy. It’s totally worth it. I’d do it again in a heart beat.”

“Dr. Dauer did an incredible job with my hair transplant. Looks incredible and not even my closest friends or family have a clue it was done. They just make remarks like “good haircut”. Always makes me smile!

I am a 30 year old male who was suffering relatively significant hair loss in the front of my scalp. The kind that was basically forming an island of hair in the front of my head and forming some pretty big widow peaks. I went in for a consultation and it was private and very professional. Dr. Dauer inspects your hair and hairline and then takes the time to explain whether a particular procedure is right for you. I had gone to several highly rated doctors for consultations and he was the first that did not try to push something on me. He spent over an hour with me, listening to my concerns about losing my hair at such a young age and being single. He walked me through all the alternatives like propecia and rogaine, and spoke with me about what the procedure would entail, how long it would take, the recovery time, etc., all to the smallest detail. Ultimately I decided to have the procedure done, and because of the extent I needed we elected to go with the hair transplant option that takes a small strip of hair from the back and then places those hair follicles in the new site.

Truth be told, I was freaked out at the thought of having something done that would effect my appearance and Dr. Dauer was kind enough to pass along contact information for former clients who kindly shared their experiences with me. After calming down, I went in for my scheduled procedure date and he took some pictures of my hair and reassuringly walked me through everything one more time. I got to his office at 9am and was out at 2:30. It was super easy and not one ounce of pain. Drugs are amazing! I just sat and watched movies and ate some pizza for a couple hours and he and his staff did their work. I had the procedure done on Christmas eve, and then went out that night with some friends. I know it sounds insane but it didn’t hurt at all, I just wore a hat.

The first couple days after the procedure suck as I had all these red dots where the new hair follicles were put in. This is normal and after I took my first shower where I could put the shower stream on my head, they came off and it was no big deal. The donor site (where they take the follicles from the back), didn’t hurt at all. You put some ointment on it twice a day and after 2 weeks they take the stitches out. I mean the absolute worst aspect of all of this was my having to sleep on my back, as I had the transplant in the front. I generally sleep on my stomach or side, so this was a pain in the ass for 1 week, but it really was the only thing that was bad about the experience.

It has now been around 10 months since my procedure and I could not be more thrilled. I went in recently for a check up with the Doc, and when he showed me the pictures he originally took and we put them side by side with the new ones he took, it was absolutely incredible. HUGE difference and it looks awesome. It was like my hair was 10 years ago. Not even my best friend who sees me all the time could tell until I showed him the pictures and he was shocked that I had the procedure, was shocked at how I was loosing my hair that bad, and immediately called Dr. Dauer for a consultation of his own after he saw the “results” pictures. I am an extremely private person who has a very public job, and I was really anxious about all of this, but it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Couldn’t be happier with Doctor Dauer and the results.”
