Dr. Marc Dauer, M.D. is a leader in permanent hair transplants and hair restoration utilizing Follicular Unit Transplantation to achieve the most natural hair transplant results possible. Dr. Dauer graduated with honors from New York Medical College and trained in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at UCLA Medical Center. He subsequently received special training in Hair Transplantation and Hair Restoration and has been a published author in numerous medical publications in the practice area of hair transplantation. Dr. Dauer, located in Los Angeles, is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, Diplomate of the National Board Of Medical Examiners, and an active Member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. Dr. Dauer is a teaching faculty member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, and routinely conducts teaching conferences around the world instructing hair transplant physicians in the art of Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation. Dr. Dauer is recommended by the International Alliance Of Hair Transplant Surgeons and the American Hair Loss Association.

Our Hair Transplant Practice

In our practice we deal exclusively with Hair and Eyebrow Transplants. We believe that in order to achieve the best results it requires a singular focus, and for that reason we do not perform any other cosmetic procedures.

We perform both harvesting techniques known as Follicular Unit Extraction (F.U.E.) and Follicular Unit Transplantation otherwise know as the strip harvest procedure. Dr. Dauer believes it is best to educate each patient regarding both harvesting techniques so that the patient can choose the procedure that best suits them and their lifestyle.

Our patients come to us from all over the United States and the world. Our goal is to achieve a completely natural result with as much density as possible. We feel these goals are best achieved when the hair transplant treatment plan is individualized.

Eyebrow Transplants

About 1/3 of our hair transplant patients are eyebrow transplant procedures. There are many factors that must be taken into account with each eyebrow transplant patient before formulating the optimal treatment plan. Some questions to ask before your procedure: The reason for the lack of eyebrow hair? Are the weak eyebrows secondary to genetic factors, over-plucking, or some underlying medical condition? The patient’s facial anatomy, age, the hair-to-skin color contrast, caliber and character of the hair, and amount of eyebrow hair present, are all important factors to take into account and understand in formulating a customized treatment plan.

Our Office

Our office is set up to create maximum comfort for our patients. We have satellite TV in our procedure rooms as well as impressive views of the Hollywood sign and downtown Los Angeles skyline from our 18th floor Century City suite. We also have state of the art LED lighting and microscopes, as well as a custom designed memory foam cushions on our exam chairs for maximum comfort. We serve our patients lunch and can cater to all your special dietary needs. Our goal is to make your procedure as comfortable as possible.
